Bhopal (MP): President of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Kamal Nath has taken a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has been putting a question mark on his non-participation in Bharat Jodo Yatra. Nath said that the BJP should not have ‘stomach pain’ for it, since he was asked to coordinate the event and he was doing that.

Nath made the statement at a press conference in Bhopal on Friday. He said that his party would raise the scam in the state government’s “Poshan Aahar (scheme for supplying nutritious food to the poor) in the assembly. He also said that the party would release a charge-sheet against the government at an appropriate time and seek Chief Minister Shivran Singh Chauhan’s resignation on the issue of corruption.

He said that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) in its report (MP Accountant General) has portrayed how corruption had crept into the nutrition scheme. Nath said that he would raise the issue in the House and that Chauhan must resign on moral grounds, as graft had deprived thousands of poor of the nutritious food. The ruling dispensation has angered every section of society, he said.
