New Delhi: The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops have returned to the patrolling post 14, located on the Line of Actual Control (PLA) in the Galvan Valley in eastern Ladakh, in violation of mutual consent to withdraw from the situation of confrontation. According to sources, Chinese soldiers have also put up tents at the Petroling Point number-14 in Galvan Valley. At the same place, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in the violent clashes on 15 June.

According to sources, PLA has set up tents and an observation point at the exact place on 15 June. The source said that the Chinese troops had returned with a heavy contingent, while they had agreed to call back their troops and remove their setup.

Sources said that during the 11-hour long meeting of the Corps Commander between India and China on 22 June, it was said that there was mutual agreement to withdraw from the LAC. It was also said that the modalities to move out of all the conflict zones in eastern Ladakh were discussed. Corps commanders of the armies of the two countries met in Moldo to resolve the border issue and ease tensions in eastern Ladakh. This was the second meeting after the first meeting on 6 June. The meeting took place between 14 Corps Commander Lieutenant General Harinder Singh and Chief General General Liu Lin of the South Xinjiang Military District.

But Chinese troops have returned to the same place where the clash took place, the sources said. The deployment of the Chinese army is a major concern for the Indian government, but Indian troops in eastern Ladakh are ready for any conflict. At present, there has been no response from the government on this news. It is believed that after this action of China, the tension between the two countries will increase again.
