Deadlock ends, Rajasthan Assembly session from August 14

Jaipur: Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra finally approved the state assembly session. He took this decision in the late evening on Wednesday. Governor Mishra has approved the proposal to start the fifth session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly sent by Ashok Gehlot from August 14. The Governor Secretariat of Raj Bhavan has given this information. The release issued from Raj Bhavan said that Governor Kalraj Mishra has verbally given instructions to make necessary arrangements for rescue from covid-19 during the session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

Earlier, the deadlock between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Governor Kalraj Mishra over the political crisis in Rajasthan ended. On 31 July, the CM met the Governor four times to call the assembly session. While the Governor repeatedly reiterated that 21 days notice is very important for convening the Vidhansabha session. That is, the Governor says that if you want to bring a motion of confidence, then an early assembly session can be called or else a session can be called on 21 days notice. While the Gehlot government said that they do not want to bring a “vote of confidence”, they have a majority.
