Washington: US President Donald Trump, who has tried his best to crush the electoral mandate through new methods, has presented himself as a candidate for the post of US President in 2024. He told the guests during a Christmas party at the White House on Tuesday, “Four years remain unmatched. We are trying to do four more years. Otherwise we will meet again after four years.”
Many power brokers from the Republican Party were involved in this program. There was a media entry ban but a video of the outgoing President’s speech went public soon after the program.
Nearly a month after the November 3 election, 74-year-old Trump is refusing to accept his electoral defeat and is unwilling to believe that his rival Joe Biden has overtaken him, who is currently busy forming the new government .
Trump has reduced public appearances in the White House, but he still refrains from making inflammatory tweets about alleged election fraud, while his own attorney general says there is no evidence of rigging or fraud in elections.
