New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has given a big statement today on his old colleague and now BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia. Rahul said that BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia could have become the Chief Minister while staying in the Congress Party but he has remained as a backbencher in the BJP.
Speaking about the importance of the Congress organization, speaking at the program of the youth wing of the party, according to sources, Rahul said, “He (Scindia) could have become the Chief Minister if he had been in the Congress but has remained a ‘backbencher’ in the BJP.” Scindia had the option to strengthen the organization by working with Congress workers. I told him – one day you will become the Chief Minister but he chose a ‘different way’. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi further said- ‘Take it in writing, they will never be able to become the Chief Minister there, they will have to come here only for this.’
On this occasion, Rahul called upon the youth party workers not to fear anyone and to fight against the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Significantly, Madhya Pradesh’s strongman Jyotiraditya had resigned from the Congress party in March last year and joined the BJP. He is currently a Rajya Sabha MP from BJP.
