Seven corona patients succumbed to lack of oxygen in Meerut

Meerut: Around seven corona patients have died in two hospitals in Meerut. The doctors are telling the cause of these deaths as lack of oxygen. Three Corona patients have died in the private hospital ‘Anand Hospital’, while four other patients have succumbed at the KMC Hospital. Corona cases are increasing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. However, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is repeatedly claiming that there is no lack of oxygen in the state.

Dr. Subhash Yadav, Medical Superintendent of Anand Hospital, said that the lack of oxygen remains constant. He said, ‘We need 400 cylinders daily, but we are getting 90 cylinders only. Yesterday our oxygen supply was over. Due to which three patients hospitalized died.

The head of KMC Hospital, Dr. Sunil Gupta said that not only four patients died yesterday, but three patients died a day before that as well. He said, ‘Yesterday we did not have oxygen from 12 noon to 8 pm. If we had oxygen, we would have saved them. The doctor said that lack of oxygen has become a daily problem.

Mohammad Qasim’s mother, 28, is infected with Corona and is hospitalized. He had to bring an oxygen cylinder from Karnal, Haryana, 110 km from there, for 25 thousand rupees. He told, ‘The hospital said that they do not have oxygen. Get your patient discharged or arrange oxygen for yourself.

At the same time, Manoj Kumar’s brother is admitted in KMC Hospital. For them, he has bought three cylinders from Yamunanagar in Haryana for one lakh rupees.
