This comes months before the state’s next assembly elections. Notably, after leaving the Congress, both leaders, Yashpal and Sanjiv Arya, joined the BJP ahead of the 2017 Uttarakhand assembly elections.

AICC General Secretary Venugopal expressed his delight at the accession of the two leaders, saying that both have returned home. He also mentioned that Yashpal and Sanjiv had a meeting with Rahul Gandhi this morning.
