MoU signed between IIMT University and Edo State University of Africa, Uzare, Nigeria

Meerut: In the august presence of Prof. H.S. Singh, Vice Chancellor IIMT University, the MOU was signed betweenIIMT University and EDO STATE UNIVERSITY UZAIRUE (EDSU), NIGERIA. Signing ceremony was facilitated by registrars. The other dignitaries present on the occasion include Dr.Deepa Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor, IIMT University, Dr. Sanjeev Maheshwari, Director, IIMT Engineering College, Dr. Shubha Dwivedi, Associate Professor and MoUCoordinator, IIMT University, Prof. Charles Oluwaseum Adetunji, Ag. Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer,EDO STATE UNIVERSITY UZAIRUE (EDSU), NIGERIA.The objective of MOU is to impart training to the students in the emerging area of biotechnology, IPR, Agriculture, nanotechnology.

Shri Yogesh Mohanji Gupta, Chancellor, IIMT University, said to media news that this MoU will certainly mark its presence and enhance the university research culture. He also gave his congratulations and blessings to both universities.Dr. Mayank Agarwal, Managing Director of IIMT group of Institutions said that this MoU between universities In line with the efforts to enhance the student and faculty experience with updated knowledge in the sectors of research development and innovation. He also gave his best wishes to both the universities.

Prof. H.S. Singh, Vice Chancellor IIMT University, in his statement said that the MoU also intends to leverage the well-developed vast experience and expertise of both universities collectively to strengthen as a platform to recognize new thought, connect potential entrepreneur culture and create a network of students and organization and a blend of technology, innovation and management that offers in-depth content on emerging trends and future of biotechnology, nanotechnology and agriculture in all aspects of life.

Dr. Deepa Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor said that the MoU seeks to leverage the capabilities of both the universities for meeting the growing requirements of the university and deliver insightful content through respective mediums. Dr. Sharma plays a vital role in signing of MoU between universities. She said it can help in shaping the future of the university through academia, workshops, seminars, and conferences to benefit the professionals, students aspiring to be a part of academic institutions”.

Faculty coordinator Dr. ShubhaDwivedi cleared the purpose of MoUi.eto facilitate the collaboration in the research and development of Academic, Research and Innovation Collaboration etc.On being asked about what kind of outcome she sees as a result of this partnership and the benefits to the huge mass in terms of faculty and students associated with both universitiesshe said: “objectives are linked together so that we think about research and development, and we drive to build a robust research framework based on new innovations, brand visibility, wider outreach and build a common platform to showcase these initiatives”

Prof Charles OluwaseumAdetunji state it will provide benefit in terms of internship, training, curiculam enrichment, Exchange of academic materials on research and development, innovation of mutual interest which are made available by both parties. The decision to solemnize the partnership through this MoU, a key milestone for both universities in their long-term relationship, was made after extensive evaluation and identifying the core competencies and strong synergies between the two of them.
