New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the economic measures announced by the government on Saturday will increase business opportunities and help in rejuvenating the economy. Modi tweeted that the announcements made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday included many important sectors such as coal, minerals, defence, aviation, space and nuclear power.
The Prime Minister had announced an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore to revive the economy affected by Covid-19. Sitharaman released the details of the fourth installment of the same package on Saturday. The government has taken some major steps to revive the economy.
These measures include raising the foreign direct investment (FDI) limit in defense manufacturing, privatization of six more airports, opening more airspace and allowing private sector in commercial coal mining. The Prime Minister said, “These measures and reforms will create new business opportunities.” These will help in economic transformation. “
