Many traditional art forms such as Kathak, Kutiyattam, theatre, puppetry can be now learned online.
Sangeet Natak Akademi under the Ministry of Culture has taken a unique initiative to start digital classes for students interested in these art forms.
Titled “Deeksha”, experts of the art forms who are also awardees and gurus of the respective kendras will impart their classes five days a week on Zoom and Facebook Live.
Another project called “Antarang” will have a series of webinars showing famous artistes who will share their creative life journey, talk about their achievements and vision for the future.
Children and students who are getting bored due to the lockdown can now participate in these projects to improve their creativity and art forms.
