Ghaziabad: Two youths killed a dog by hanging it at Elaichipur under Tronica city police station area in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident came to light after a video clip of it went viral on social media. In the video clip, two men can be seen tying the dog to a rope and holding the rope tightly from both ends so that the canine may suffocate. They were also dragging it towards them with full force.
Immediately after the video clip went viral, the police called the youths to the police station and questioned them. The video, which went viral, was three-month-old, sources said, adding that after the case had gone to the police, the villagers looked scared and they kept away from discussing the issue.
The villagers, however, said that as they were scared of the dog, the youths made a plan to kill it.
Fed up with dogs, the residents of many areas in Uttar Pradesh have begun to kill dogs on their own. There were several incidents in which dogs have killed several children. On October 18, a pack of dogs mauled a seven-month-old boy whose parents are construction workers in Noida.
