A lawyer Ranjana Agnihotri who appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner Kuldeep Tiwari pointed out some objectionable contents in the movie and demanded a ban on the film to be released on January 12 next year.
Lucknow (UP): A petition seeking a ban on the Bollywood movie “Adipurush” has been filed in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, sources said on Thursday. A lawyer Ranjana Agnihotri, who appeared in the court on behalf of a petitioner Kuldeep Tiwari, pointed out a few objectionable contents in the movie. A division of the high court comprising Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Renu Agarwal was hearing the case.
After pointing out the objectionable contents, Agnihotri sought a ban on the film to be released on January 12 next year. Appearing on behalf of the Union Government lawyer Ashwani Singh said that the petitioner had pleaded before the Centre, the state, the Censor Board, the director of the movie Om Raut, actors Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Menon and others to stop the movie. The court has yet to fix the next date for hearing.
