The government records says that more than 50 such Pakistani nationals – 30 of whom are women and married to locals – are staying in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district on a long-term visa.
Saharanpur (UP): The Pakistani nationals who have been living on long-term visa in the district have been told to inform the Saharanpur district administration if a relative from their country visits them, official sources said on Thursday. Besides, they have been asked to inform the foreigners’ registration office, if they plan to go out of the district for some work.
According to government records, more than 50 such Pakistani nationals – 30 of whom are women and married to locals – are staying in the district on a long-term visa. Senior superintendent of police has asked them to stick to terms and conditions on the grounds of which they have been allowed long-term visas.
The police have collected information about the home cities of such foreign nationals, work, expiry date of their visas and the relatives who have recently come to their residences and stayed with them. Besides, they have been told to inform the police about any suspicious activities in the area they are living. Such information as to be provided by such people to the administration should be regularly verified.
