Amethi: A woman and her two children were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a house in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, the police said. The body of the woman
The woman’s body was found hanging from the ceiling of the house in Kukaha Rampur village under Shivratanganj police station at Rampur village in Amethi. The throats of the children were slit.
The bodies were sent for post mortem. In a tweet, Amethi police said that they were investigating the case.
The Amethi incident took place after a Dalit widow and her minor daughter were murdered in her house in Kankather area under Gajraula police station in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. According to the police, the murders took place over properties.
Besides nearly five Dalit girls have been raped and four of them have been murdered in the past fortnight. Two minor Dalit girls were raped and their bodies were hung from a branch of a tree in Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, a minor Dalit girl who was raped and burnt in Pilibhit died at a hospital in Lucknow on Monday when another Dalit girl who was raped in Buhandshahr and burnt died at a hospital in New Delhi.
