Mathura (UP): A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a lady doctor four years ago, officials said on Saturday. A fast-track court of additional district and sessions judge Neeru Sharma passed the order on Friday and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict Ravindra. According to additional district government counsel Subhash Chandra Chaturvedi, on the evening of July 13, 2018, Ravindra entered the house of physiotherapist Dr Khushbu Agarawal and slit her throat when she tried to resist his loot attempt.
When the incident happened, the husband of Khushbu Dr Sanjiv Kumar was not at home. Immediately after the incident Dr Kumar informed the police who registered an FIR against the culprit, said Chaturvedi. The police began to sift through the CCTV footage and mobile surveillance. After that they laid their hands on the criminal who they arrested and put up before the court
