Shahajahanpur: A land dispute led to the murder of a 42-year-old man in Shikrapur village under Katra police station of Shahajahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning, the police said.
According to reports, the man Ram Bharose had a dispute over a plot of land with his nephews who battered him to death. According to additional superintendent of police Sanjeev Bajpai, the dispute was, however, solved after they entered into an agreement.
On Monday morning, as Ram Bharose was working in the disputed land, his nephews Devendra, Omendra, Harendra, Himanshu and Shishupal reached there and began to quarrel with him. When Ram Bharose objected to their conduct, his nephews attacked him with sticks and he died on the spot, Bajpayee said, adding that all the accused who are at large have been booked.
