All about Yadav’s life: From a wrestler to a strong political figure

Mulayam Singh Yadav hails from a small village called Saifai which is situated in Etawa district of Uttar Pradesh. He was born on November 22, 1939, in a poverty-ridden family. 

The former chief Ministers’ parents Murti Devi and Sughar Singh Yadav belonged to a modest background. In Mulayams early stages of life, he had dreams of becoming a wrestler.  

It was Jaswantnagar Nathu Singh, the former MLA who was keenly observing Mulayam and liked his skills considering him for a potential position in his team. After working with him for a few years, Mulayam became an MLA himself in 1967 for the Sanyukta Socialist party. Even after entering politics, his love and honed skills for wrestling were intact and it was evident in many cases when he participated in riots where he managed to navigate through strong opposition otherwise he had to pay a huge price for it.

About Mulayam’s educational background

Mulayam was always enthusiastic about their studies and pursued his BA, BT, and MA degrees from renowned colleges of Uttar Pradesh region, namely KK College, Etawah, AK College, Shikohabad, and BR College, Agra University. 

His deep knowledge in political science came handy and  helped him to pass through different and many difficult times in his career.
