Lucknow (UP): A case has been registered against two firms for not supplying the Diwali gifts to the employees of 108 ambulance services and 102 medical services, although both the companies got payment for it, police said on Thursday. The two firms are HMF Industries Moradabad and Taj Traders Rakabganj. The case has been registered at Ashiana police in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on the grounds of a complaint lodged by a senior official of GVK EMRI, Kamalakannan S.
Both the firms had been given payment to supply jackets as Diwali gifts to the staffers of 108 ambulance services and 102 medical services. According to the contract, the firms had to hand over the jackets to the department on October 15, but the firms took the payment from the bank and did not hand over the gifts. Over 20,000 employees are angry with the firms, Kamalakannan said.
