Noida (UP): Sixteen women staffers fell unconscious on Sunday evening when mosquito repellent was sprayed in an electronic parts manufacturing firm in Ecotech 3 at Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida, police said on Monday. Immediately after the incident, all the 16 women were sent to nearby private hospital. The relatives of the women created a ruckus at the hospital and raised slogans against the company management.
When work was going on, the company management got mosquito repellent sprayed. As the drug level in the mosquito repellent was very strong, the conditions of the women working in the company began to deteriorate and 16 of them fainted. As soon as the women lost consciousness, there was a chaos on the premises of the firm. With the help of some employees, the management admitted those women to a nearby hospital. Their condition was fine. The family members of the women lodged a complaint at the police station. The case is being investigated, the police said.
On the basis of the complaint given by the family members of the affected women, the police were mulling to take action.
