On the special occasion of Women’s Day, we bring to you 4 short inspiring stories of women who love what they do and have worked hard to find success in their respective fields.
1) AKRITI KHATRI:
Akriti is a detective who began her own agency at the age of 24. Her agency is called Venus Detective which is headquartered in Noida with branches in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Kolkata. She is in this field for the last 12 years and has solved more than 8000 cases till date.
In the initial stages of her career, she was told she would not be able to work in this field as she is a woman and this field could be dangerous for her but she decided not to pay any attention to this and went on with her work.
Currently, she has more than 80 employees working with her full time and she even trains young college-going students in how to be good detectives.
She was also called at TEDX Hyderabad to share her story and inspire the young minds.
2) ITI ACHARYA
Actress Iti Acharya started as a model and she was even crowned Miss South India in 2016 and then got into acting and started her acting career through Kannada movies and later made her Hindi debut with Indie movie ‘Satyavati’ which was screened in Washington DC center and Harvard University Film Society. Lately, the actress was seen in a hit, Kannada film ‘Kavacha’ starring Shiv Rajkumar. Apart from acting, she is also into social work. She is also the secretary of Human Rights Protection commission of Bangalore and also the member of Anti-Corruption Commission member and recently she is being appointed as the World peace ambassador.
Now Iti is all set to make her debut in the Telegu Industry with movie Pasivadi Pranam.
3) REKHA RANA
She is a recipient of more than 35 international awards for the movie “Tara: The journey of love and passion” which heaped a lot of praise critically. She is all set to release her next movie ‘Yaha Ameena Bikti Hai’. She has also been a part of number of music videos like ‘Saiyyan’ by T-series being her latest. She also seen in a video song under her own production called as Çhrist Production called ‘Jogiya’. Next on Rekha Rana’s bucket list is another music album for her own production house ‘Christ Production’.
4) RUCHIRAA GORMARAY
Ruchiraa Gormaray is all set to make her debut in 2 different industries this year i.e. Bollywood and the Marathi Industry. She is making her big screen Bollywood debut with Nawazuddin Siddique’s ‘Bole Chudiyan”. And in Marathi industry with Amol Kagne’s ‘Vajvuya Band Baja’ which is directed by national award-winning director Shivaji Lotan Patil.
Ruchira was also the director’s assistant in Anurag Kashyap ‘Mukkabazz’
Ruchira also worked in a Short film which was written by Imtiaz Ali and was directed by his brother Arif Ali called ‘Pani Panchayat’.
