UP government to survey unrecognised madrasas

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath has decided to survey the unrecognised madrasas to gather information about how many teachers and students are enrolled there and whether those institutions are affiliated with any non-government organisation, official sources said on Thursday. Besides, having information about the curriculum and about the facilities the students are getting in those institutions will be part of the survey.

According to Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Muslim Waqf and Waqf Department Danish Azad Ansari, the order also provides maternity leave and childcare facility to the female staff working in Madrasas. The government has issued a circular to all district magistrates asking them to conduct the survey and complete it by October 5.
