Pratapgarh: A headmaster of a government primary school at Abhibaranpur area in Kunda Tehsil of Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh district was sacked, as the degrees of his educational qualification were found fake, official sources said on Thursday. He joined the service 13 years ago. The education department also issued directives to recover the salary so far paid to him and lodge a case under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to Basic Siksha Adhikari Bhupendra Singh, the services of Rohit Kumar Yadav, headmaster of Abhibaranpur primary school, were terminated on Wednesday, after his BSc Bed degrees were found fake. Rajnath Yadav, a resident of Prayagraj, had complained to the additional director of the Basic Education Department on February 27, 2021 that the headmaster’s degrees of education qualification were fake. The complaint was found true when the officials of the education department got it verified from Lucknow University.
