Lucknow (UP): Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that the Prayagraj airport will be equipped with international facilities before the Mahakumbh in 2025. Maurya made the statement at a review meeting he held with the officials of various departments on Saturday. As far as passengers’ satisfaction goes, the Prayarag airport has got 13th position among domestic airports in the country, he said.
Therefore, it has been decided to develop it into an international airport before 2025, he said, adding that Prayagraj has huge potential for tourism. A proposal has been sent to the Union Petroleum Ministry for setting up a oil refinery in Prayagraj, Maurya said.
