Now you can make correction in Aadhaar Card yourself

New Delhi: If you have a smartphone, you can do Corrections on your Aadhaar card right from home. The Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI has launched an official app which you can download and get correction done in the address given in your Aadhaar card. So what is the name of this app? Where to download it and how to use it? We are going to give you all this information in this article.

  • First you have to download the mAadhaar app from Google Play Store.
  • Once the app is downloaded, open it.
  • Now you will be asked for some permissions through the app.
    After this, some information of the given app will come to you, skip these.
  • After this, the page with Resident Consent will open, then click on the I Consent option here below.
  • Now you will be asked the language, that is, select the language in which you want to use this app.
    After this, it is the turn to enter the mobile number, so here you enter the mobile number which was given while making your Aadhaar card.
  • After entering the mobile number, click on the Next button.
  • Now an OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter this OTP at this place, then press the submit button.
    After this, a new page will open in front of you, click on Register My Aaadhaar option present here.
  • Now you have to create a 4 digit password. Keep in mind that this password is a bit difficult and you can remember it.
    After this, you will have the option to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar card number. Enter the Aadhaar card number here and click on the Next button.
  • After pressing the next button, an OTP number will be sent to your mobile again. Enter it here and click on the Verify option.
  • After following all these processes, you will now be able to log into this app.
  • Your Aadhaar card will appear on the top and many options will appear on the bottom.
  • If you want to get correction done in your address, first of all, you have to click on the Services option present on the left hand side below.
  • After clicking, a new page will open, click on the Update Address Online option here.
  • Now here you have to enter your Aadhaar card number.
    After this, the 4 digit number present in this box has to be filled up in the box with Enter Security Captcha.
  • Then click on the Request OTP option.
  • Now an OTP number will come on your mobile, fill in this box and click on the Verify button.
    After this, two options will appear in front of you, one is address proof and the other is secret code.
  • You click on via Proof option.
  • Now a form will open in front of you, fill it carefully and fill it without mistake and submit it.

Let me tell you that after following all these processes, it may take a few days to change the address in Aadhaar. To tell one more thing, to know the updates related to this correction, you can take the update by clicking on the Aaadhaar Update History option present in the mAadhaar app.
