Bareilly (UP): A man threatening to blow off a mosque and shoot its cleric was arrested on Thursday, the police said. He wanted the removal of the cleric from the mosque. The 25-year-old man threatened to shoot Imam Mufti Khurshid Alam and explode the Jama Masjid in Kila area in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. He pasted a letter on the wall of the mosque on Wednesday.
The man identified as Mohammad Samad said that he took the step as the Imam had not let him play DJ on the occasion of Eid. The Kila police lodged an FIR against the person.
