Dehradun: Shri Jhande ji’s ascent is now on Saturday


Dehradun: Amidst the incessant rains, the historic 105 feet high flag of Shri Jhandeji was being mounted in Darbar Sahib Dehradun today, at the last moment wooden scissors broke, due to which the flag was broken. In view of the situation, the arrangement was handled at the call of Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj. Now on Saturday, the flag of Shri Jhandeji will be mounted. Inthat period there was an atmosphere of stampede due to the chaos. According to eyewitnesses, reports of injuries to many people are also being received.

Earlier this morning, the program to unload Shri Jhandeji started. In the presence of Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj of Darbar Sahib, Shri Jhandeji was bathed with curd, ghee, Gangajal and Panchamrit. Since morning, millions of Sangat people gathered to see Shri Jhandeji.

This time Shri Jhandeji’s ascension was special in many ways. Bhupendra Raturi, Senior Public Relations Officer of Shri Darbar Sahib said that as per tradition, the flag rod of Shri Jhandeji is changed every three years. This moment is amazing. There is a lot of enthusiasm to see this moment.

The new flag rod of Shri Jhande Ji is 105 feet high, which was the highest ever, on the other hand, in view of the outbreak of Coronavirus in the district, advisory has been issued for rescue at Shri Jhandeji fair. There are several safety measures to make people aware. In addition, a fair hospital has been set up at Sri Darbar Sahib. Thermal scanners have also been installed at the two main gates of Darbar Sahib. Health check-ups are being done for everyone who gets admission. A team of expert doctors has also been deployed in the hospital to deal with the emergency, which will provide 24-hour services.
