Coronavirus outbreak : Visas to India suspended till April 15

New Delhi: India has banned the entry of foreigners coming into the country amid increasing number of people getting infected by the Corona virus. The government has banned people coming from abroad till 15 April. All visas have been canceled.

The implementation of this decision will start from 13 March. So far, there have been cases of 67 people getting infected with this virus in the country. One of the infected people came in contact with a tourist group from Italy, which saw a huge increase in the number of infected people. On Wednesday, the Union Health Ministry issued an order asking for the cancellation of all visas.

In its order, the ministry said that all visas related to foreign diplomats, official, United Nations, international organizations and employment and other projects will be suspended till April 15. The ministry said, ‘This order will be applicable from the time of flights leaving India from 13 March 2020. During this time, if a foreigner wants to travel to India, then he has to contact his nearest Indian Mission.
