PWD has lot of problems

In the PWD, many previous ministers held meetings with officers only for departmental betterment but kept distance from the union officials of that department. Due to which many corruption by the most lucrative department doesn’t come to the fore. So Minister must try to bridge the gap between the two for efficient functioning of the dept. It was due to the corruption and inefficiency that the bridge corporation and construction corporation went into losses. By holding a meeting with the union and the officers, it can be resolved. Nirman Nigam, the executive body of UP’s most famous building construction, is not getting work in many states due to this.

There is also a challenge to remove the blacklist tag from the construction corporation in Uttarakhand. Whereas the corporation once command a turnover of six thousand crores, but now it is left with just two thousand crores orders. Blacklisted in Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, UPRNN is also facing the challenge of not getting work as before. Meanwhile, work is now being done on EPC mode across the country, but due to sealing the firm is not getting projects even in UP.

PWD did not build a single one in 13 medical colleges in three years while Nirman Nigam built more than eight medical colleges in Yogi govt. PWD cost 320 crores to build a medical college while Nirman Nigam built medical colleges for 260 crores.

UP Setu Corporation is now at the mercy of private companies

Setu Nigam has built bridges in foreign nations like Iraq, Nepal and many parts of the country. Now the problem is that they are giving sub tender for their bridges to private companies. Four bridges in Ayodhya were supposed to be built by the Setu Corporation; but contracts were given to private companies by vertical tender. While the government gives work to the bridge but the work is done by private companies.
