Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will head Home, Vigilance, and Personnel among the 25 departments with him as the portfolios of the new BJP-led government in Uttar Pradesh were announced on Monday.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya gets Rural Development and Food Processing, while another Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak will head Medical Health and Medical Education, among others. Suresh Khanna will take care of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs, Swatantra Dev Singh will head Jal Shakti and Baby Rani Maurya will have the charge of Women and Child welfare departments.

AK Sharma to head urban development
Former bureaucrat AK Sharma to lead the urban development department along with energy. Jitin Prasad got the Public Works Department to take care of it. Bhupendra Chaudhary will continue as the Panchayati raj Minister as he was during the last tenure. Swatantra Dev Singh got the portfolio of Jalshakti Minister whereas Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary will look the matters of Sugercane. Dharmpal Singh to have Pashudhan department. Bebirani Maurya will be the minister of women’s welfare. Sandeep Singh will be the basic education minister whereas Gulab Devi will be the minister of secondary education.
