Lucknow: Supply of contaminated water led to the outbreak of diarrhoea in the Fatehpur area of Aliganj, claiming two lives and afflicting more than 90 people, sources said on Thursday. Most of the people admitted to the hospital complained of nausea and loose motions. According to reports, the diarrhoea claimed the life of a one-year-old child on Monday and another person on Wednesday. Nevertheless, the chief medical officer (CMO) said that though diarrhoea may not have caused those deaths, a probe was underway to determine the exact reasons.
