Pilibhit (UP): Dancing in uniform on the Independence Day celebrations has cost a sub-inspector and a constable dear, as both have been sent to lines, official sources said on Monday. The two policemen invited trouble after a video clip showing them dancing in uniform went viral on social media. Superintendent of police Dinesh Kumar P took cognisance of the video clip and sent the sub-inspector Saurabh Kumar and constable Anuj to police lines on Tuesday night.

Both the policemen danced during the Independence Day celebrations at Puranpur police station. Immediately after that, a video clip of the incident went viral and circle officer Virendra Vikram was asked to probe the matter. In the probe, both were found guilty and sent to lines.
