Mamma said it’s too hot out there to even think of going out in the sun. I said let’s give it a try and go to one of the best places where she would enjoy her time and also we would be spending quality time with each other. Mamma was resistant to traveling outside but I encouraged her to cherish her summer travel on the roads as it would give the new memories that she can think about and laugh about whenever we are not around her. 1) From the film Andaz, this song Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana brought an instant smile on my Mom’s face. After all, it was her all-time favorite song which she used to listen to when she was young. The song featuring Rajesh Khanna and Hema Malini is a classic one. Just check out the below lyrics:

2) Then I added the song Dil Chahta Hai from the film Dil Chahta Hai. This film featuring Aamir, Akshaye, and Saif is one of my favorite movies as it shows the importance of friendship in good and bad times of life. The song mesmerizes us to a completely new world of life, bonding and reconnections.

3) When mom was reminding me about the chores of our house like if I locked the doors or not, if I switched off the AC and lights or not, if I have informed the maid about our immediate travel and our absence at home or not, I immediately played this wonderful song – Chhod Aaye Hum Woh Galiyaan from the film Maachis. The film had Tabu, and Chandrachur Singh in the main roles and showed us how leaving back those lanes is good for the mind and health too. It is about forgetting our past and finding new ways of living so that we can move ahead without any guilt, fear, and hatred in our lives.
