The Kamakshi Amman temple takes an area of 5 acres. It houses the image of Goddess Kamakshi in a seated position and is flanked by the Gods Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Around the sanctum also has small shrines of Bangaru Kamakshi, Adi Shankara, and Maha Saraswathi.
