News Desk – Following a tragic incident where a woman and four children were swept away at a waterfall near Bhushi Dam in Lonavala. The Pune district administration has issued new safety guidelines for tourists.

Collector Suhas Divase ordered for a comprehensive survey in tourist areas such as Maval, Mulshi, Khed, Junnar, Bhor, Velha, and Ambegaon. This survey aims to enhance safety measures at tourist spots.

Officials have been ordered to close off areas that are prone to disasters.

The district administration is also collaborating with various agencies such as revenue, forest, railways, municipal corporations, and the Public Works Department.

Furthermore, local NGOs, rescue foundations, trekkers, and community members are being involved to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Moreover, access to certain risky spots in forests will be restricted after 6 pm.
