Interestingly, lockdown has got a creative impact on many people. A recent report says that the Railway Museum in Mysuru has launched a customized coach restaurant that can seat 20 people.
The inauguration was done by Aparna Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru Division, and President, South Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SWRWWO).
Museum visitors were really impressed with the coach restaurant’s way of reconnecting with a train’s journey. One can enjoy the hygienically prepared snacks/light refreshments and beverages like coffee and tea in the new coach restaurant.
There are also many outdoor exhibits like steam locomotives, vintage gabled style iconic wayside railway station, level crossing gate, and a green tunnel and the lovely amphitheater situated in a beautiful green backdrop for the visitors to take pleasure of the vantage point.
As of now, the coach restaurant will be working on the model of no-profit and no-loss.
