Ladakh

Ladakh is also referred to as a bridge between the sky and the earth. This highland is a cold desert having the impressive Karakoram Range located to its North and Zanskar Mountains to the South. 

 Salty Desert of Rann of Kutch

 Rann of Kutch in Gujarat was a piece of land submerged in the Arabian Sea. However, natural movements in the seabed separated this land from the sea and brought it to the surface. This region has nothing but vast stretches of salty white sand. 

Lahaul and Spiti

Himachal Pradesh is home to a vast region of cold desert called Lahaul and Spiti. It is also one of the coldest deserts in the world marked for its heavy snowfall in winter which cuts off the world’s region for several months.

 Thar Desert

The Thar Desert is one of the largest deserts in the world. In winter, the Thar Desert can get cold at night with temperatures falling to 9 degree Celsius, whereas in summer the temperature soars.
