Ireland plans to restart international travel later during summer

As coronavirus pandemic has hit across worldwide, countries are yet to resume international travel. Ireland prime minister Leo Varadkar shared that he hopes to resume air travel to other European countries later during the summer.

Ireland’s prime minister recommended people of Ireland to not book any foreign holiday tickets as of now because the government has no fixed date in mind yet to end the 14-day quarantine for people arriving from other countries.

Currently, the government is still studying the impact of coronavirus on travellers coming from abroad and trying to understand how to resume flights in other countries.

It is also contemplating whether to extend the 14-day quarantine for incoming travellers for the passengers’ safety and well-being.

He hopes that by later in the summer, Ireland would have successfully defeated the virus and people can travel point to point from Ireland to other nations.
