Due to the record of 983,312 coronavirus cases so far and about 15,000 fatalities, Germany has prolonged the coronavirus lockdown till 20 December 2020.
The country has put certain limitations on social contacts, which may continue till January next year, says a report.
Minister-President of the federal state Saxony-Anhalt Reiner Haseloff announced the decision.
Also, the relaxations of coronavirus-linked restrictions will happen only if there is a decrease witnessed in the number of cases early next year.
