On the special event of the Chhath festival, Indian Railways has shown how much it cares for the safety of commuters in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Railways is ensuring safety precautions by allowing only those travellers with confirmed tickets to enter the waiting room arrangement outside the station and also seating arrangements are made on the basis of social distancing rules and all are compulsorily asked to wear masks.
Anand Vihar Railway Station also has a special helpdesk wherein passengers can get details or solve their queries. Moreover, a unique arrangement has been made for women passengers for their safety. Medical help is also provided with the help of stationed doctors for passengers to tackle with any emergency.
Apart from clean toilet facilities, even TV screens have been kept to show Chhath programs and also special announcements are made for the travellers to make them aware about arrival and departure of special trains.
Chatt Puja is a festival in which married women offer flowers, fruits and sweets and water to Lord Surya and Chhathi Maya.
