Benefits of traveling to a forest

Yahoooo….Chahe mujhe koi junglee kahe, kehnedo ji kehta rahe!! Remember this wonderful song featuring Shammi Kapoor and Saira Banu? If you had watched this song, you would sense how excited and thrilled Shammi was while exploring a forest in the song, as if he had got the lost freedom and became a child again. The same is a feeling for us too who have been living inside our homes due to the coronavirus pandemic for more than a year.

Life seems to have come to a standstill, making us want to go out like anything but then still there are so many travel restrictions in some areas in the country that we prefer staying at home is a better option. However, exploring nature is the first thing that comes to mind i.e. to respect Mother Nature for its awesome and wonders in the world. We need to be grateful to the forests that have given us so many benefits which we don’t even count or know.

Traveling to a forest should be surely done once in a lifetime as we will be able to drink clean water, breathe clean air away from the pollutants of the city. We can even witness the plants, species, and wildlife. Forests help in keeping us safe and improve our physical and mental health. No wonder when people with diseases and illnesses visit a forest to spend some time with nature, they return back with a smile and improved recovery.

Nature travel also has other benefits such as increasing our attention span, improving creativity, encouraging mindfulness, providing a reset to our life, keeping air healthier, good sunlight to make us feel energetic, and also reduce mood issues. So, if you have plans to venture out of your home, then pack your bags, check out a farmhouse nearby to a natural location and spend a week out there with no internet and phone connectivity. It will really give you the needed clarity for moving on in life leaving the past behind.
