It seems the technology giant Google is on a spree of removing all unwanted and unnecessary apps from your phone.
Well, if you are going to search for Trusted Contacts app, you will no longer find it in the App Store and Play Store.
Want to know why? Because, Google has integrated some interesting features of the Trusted Contacts App into Google Maps and hence, doesn’t want to burden your phone with more number of apps.
Although the support for Trusted Contacts app is available till December 1, 2020, but it will no longer be available to download for the existing or new users.
In 2016, Trusted Contacts app was launched for users to share their location with their friends and family.
In an email to the existing users of the app, Google wrote,
“If you have created trusted contacts, you can download them from the trusted contacts page until December 1, 2020. After that date, the Trusted Contact app will no longer work and your trusted contacts will be unable to see the live location you are sharing with them from the app.”
Google had earlier also removed Google Latitude and Google+ Location Sharing apps so that it can have a clear focus on one and only Maps app.
