Redmi K40 has appeared on Geekbench ahead of its February 25 launch. Two new model numbers of the phone, M2012K11AC, and M2012K11C, have been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking, which may belong to the Redmi K40 Redmi K40 Pro smartphones.
On Geekbench, the Redmi K40 has appeared with its M2012K11AC model number and ‘Alioth codename. The listing reveals that it is a 1.80GHz Qualcomm processor. The smartphone is also tipped to come with 8 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. The device has scored 1016 points in the single-core test and recorded 3332 in the multi-core test.
The smartphone was earlier spotted on TENAA, which gave an idea about the design of the smartphone. The Redmi K40 is expected to come with a similar design language as the Mi 11, with an elongated camera module at the back. On the front, both the K40 and K40 Pro will feature 6.81-inch AMOLED displays with 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution and a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.
A leaked poster of the smartphones has hinted that they can feature displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The K40 phones may also get in-display fingerprint scanners for authentication.
The K40 phones will get a 4420 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. They should run MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
