World’s largest search engine Google has announced that most of its 2,00,000 employees and contractors will work from home till July 2021.
The decision of remote work came after the increasing number of coronavirus infected cases in the world that is affecting businesses and humankind deadly.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote an email to his employees stating that the extended timeline may arise various emotions but the company just wants to ensure that its employees are safe during the pandemic.
The idea of extended lockdown of Google’s offices may be inspiring to other businesses and companies to take similar measures for protecting their employees and business operations from the pandemic.
Pichai wrote in the mail that he hopes the decision will provide the flexibility for employees to balance work-life and also take care of their health and loved ones in the next one year.
