Photo-sharing app Instagram is working on a new ‘Voice Note’ feature that will allow users to stay updated about what is being said on a video in its Threads app.
As per a report, the feature is being developed for the users’ close friends of the Threads app wherein one can get to know the live captions of what is running in the videos.
The feature is said to be a boon for people who are deaf as they cannot listen to the audio of the video and hence, providing them with the new feature can make them understand the content of the video.
This Voice Note feature of Instagram is said to be quite similar to YouTube’s live captions.
Threads app has been launched by Facebook last year to allow sharing photos, messages, videos, stories with close friends on Instagram.
