Tech Desk – WhatsApp and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced a new Namma Metro chatbot, that helps commuters to book tickets using the QR-based ticketing service. Users can purchase tickets on WhatsApp and make payments through it. It can also be used to recharge metro cards. It supports the two languages that users are familiar with it, That is English and Kannada. 

It makes it easy for travelers to book tickets and explore Bengaluru city without any hassle. Right?

This will be a great initiative by the Bengaluru city, through this one can save a lot of time.

How you can book metro tickets?

First open your WhatsApp and then add the chatbot number +9181055 56677.

After adding the chatbot number to your contact list, send a “Hi” msg to the number.

Then you will able to see options, like recharging metro travel pass, purchasing single tickets etc. That’s it. It is fun and easy.

Talking about it interface, it is accessible and easy. All age groups can smoothly book tickets through it. 

For your information, Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) also  launched an ‘e-ticket on WhatsApp’ service, that perates a metro service on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route in the city.
