
New Delhi: The final match of the first edition of the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand is going to start in Southapton today and there are chances of rain and storm on the first day. According to the UK Meteorological Department, at 10:00 am (local time), the chance of rain will be 80%, at 12:00 there will be 90% chance of rain while at 2:00 there will be only 90% chance. There will be 80% chance of rain even at 5:00 pm.
According to AccuWeather’s report, the temperature on the first day will be 16 degrees centigrade, which is very good for playing cricket, but the meteorological department has issued a yellow warning of thunder storm which can leave its impact on the game. If we talk about the second day, then the temperature is expected to remain 19 degrees. On this day, there will be chances of good cricket on the ground of Southampton. Chances of rain and thunderstorms are very less on Saturday, as the day continues, there may be some rain but it will be less than Friday.
Talking about the third day, the temperature will remain 19 degrees but the weather forecast on this day is not a matter of much curiosity for the cricket fans as most of the day of the match is likely to be washed away by rain. During this time, winds have been predicted to move at a speed of 22 kilometers per hour.
The possibility of a temperature of 18 degree Celsius has been expressed on the fourth day and the best cricketing conditions are also likely to be present on this day. There is no rain of any kind and no storm of any kind is expected on this day. However, the sky will remain cloudy and the winds will be strong, with a speed of 30 kilometers per hour. On the fifth day, rain can again play its role. On this day it will rain intermittently in the game. Winds will again be strong with a speed of 32 kmph expected while the temperature will remain at 18 degree Celsius. The ICC has already fixed a reserve day due to the possibility of rain, now it has to be seen whether this match drags on for 6 days or whether its results come or not.
