Brian Lara was afraid of my bowling: Mohammad Hafeez

New Delhi. Mohammad Hafeez, an all-rounder of the Pakistan cricket team, recently gave an interview in which he claimed to be staggering to the Caribbean team’s legendary player and former captain Brian Lara. Mohammad Hafiz, who recently announced his retirement time, believes that Brian Lara not only had trouble facing his balls but he was seen struggling many times fearing his bowling.

For Brian Lara, one of the greatest batsmen in the world, making such a claim is shocking, as Prince Lara of Port of Spain has made several big records in Test cricket on the basis of his superb batting. Not only this, Brian Lara, who scored 400 runs in Test cricket, is the only batsman in the world.

It is notable that Brian Lara has a very successful history in West Indies cricket. Hafiz believes that his bowling has always given Lara a headache in ODI cricket and he is often seen wobbling on his balls. Hafiz, who spoke to Pakistan’s local channel Geo TV, said that he liked Lara the most.

He said, ‘I remember I had some success while bowling against Lara. It was always difficult for left-handed batsman Brian Lara to face me. I always bowled well in front of right and left handed batsmen. I also dismissed my favorite batsman Lara.
