BCCI is considering launching two different teams of Team India at the same time

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India IPL 2020 had to be postponed for unconscionability due to Corona crisis. The board hopes that if the situation improves, it will be allowed to organize matches again, but it is believed that the fans may see an overdose if cricket starts again.

According to Spotstar, BCCI is considering launching two different teams of Team India at the same time. It may be that we see Virat Kohli leading the Test team in Australia and the next day, L Rahul will be seen captaining Team India’s ODI or T20 team against England.

A BCCI official told Sportstar, “Like all other boards, the BCCI has suffered a lot so far and the board may consider a ‘special option’ to move forward. None of us knows that the game, especially international cricket, will resume. But if we have to protect all our stakeholders — from sponsors to spectators — then one option is to choose two different teams and play the Test series and T20 series together. ‘

The BCCI will try to ensure the IPL 2020 before the start of the international season.

It is believed that Virat Kohli, the captain of all formats of India, will definitely captain the Test team, while KL Rahul will be the top contender for captaining the T20 and ODI team.

Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav who are not part of the Test team will provide the necessary experience to the limited overs team in the absence of Rohit, Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and other star players.

If the BCCI fielded two teams simultaneously, it would become the second board to do so. In 2017, Australia played two international series simultaneously.
