Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) President Mayawati on Friday slammed Samajwadi Party for deciding to partner with smaller parties in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.
It is because of its selfish and narrow approach that the SP is being forced to tie up with smaller parties, she added.
Taking to Twitter, Ms Mayawati said, “In view of the bitter experiences with the Samajwadi Party due to its very selfish, narrow and especially anti-Dalit thinking and working style, all prominent and major parties avoid it (SP). This is well known..”
“That is why SP had announced that the upcoming UP Assembly general elections will now be fought not with any big party but with the help of smaller parties,” she said.
” If it is not the helplessness of the SP then what is it? the BSP chief wondered.
Notably, on Thursday, Samajwadi Party president announced that his party will forge alliance with smaller parties for the Assembly polls.
