The eyes are important organs of the body and our eyesight is usually the most ignored concern for us. It is not just that old age makes our eyesight weak and impacts our vision negatively but even in today’s changing times, children and young adults are found to have eyesight-related problems. The coronavirus pandemic has made people stay at home and work on their laptops and keep watching televisions for passing their time. As gadgets have become a prime part of our lives, eyesight-related issues are also growing considerably.

If you are someone who has got digital eye strain or frequent headache issues due to screen times and even other problems like irritability, itching, and burning sensations on your eyes, then you need to take care of your eyes, and here are some natural ways to do the same.

1) You can get your detailed eye examination done once every year to understand how your eyes are progressing or declining.
2) You can wear corrective lenses if you are unable to see properly.
3) When you do your eye examination, you will get to know more about your risk for eye diseases and their related illnesses such as diabetes or cataract. You can even see an ophthalmologist once every six months or one year.
4) Wear sunglasses when you go out in scorching sunlight as they will protect your eyes from damaging UV rays.
5) Make sure to eat a healthy diet that has healthy fats, antioxidants to keep your eyes healthy. Eat carrots once in a week as it has vitamin A and an important nutrient to maintain eye health.
6) Quit bad habits like smoking as it can affect your eyes soon and even other parts of the body.
7) You can add fish and eggs to your diet. Also, add whole grains, leafy green vegetables such as spinach, kale, and collard greens. Broccoli, peas, and avocados are also good sources of nutrients for caring for eye muscles.
8) Vitamin C foods like oranges, grapes, lemons, and berries also reduce the chances of getting eye-related problems.
9) Pistachios, walnuts, almonds can also help you improve your eye health.
